Get ready for messy.

We believe you cannot grow close without conflict and shocking revelations. This is not a club where there are hurdles for membership. So, we believe trust is the key ingredient for our closeness and the ability to minister and share life with one another. We do this understanding that there are limits to human trust, so we push one another toward trust in the Lord.

42  They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  43  Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.  44  All the believers were together and had everything in common.  45  They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.  46  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,  47  praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. — Acts 2:42-47

The church has a story of people learning to love one another even in the midst of conflict. We want to reflect the beauty of God’s grace by being gracious with one another. We want to reflect both the blessings and the difficulty of living in close relationship with others as we see reflected in the churches of Corinth and Galatia. — 1&2 Corinthians/Galations

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message,  21  that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. — John 17:20-21
